With over 200 congregants attending, TBE President Scott Krowitz and Rabbinic Search Committee cochairs Devra Jaff-Berkowitz and Lisa Manheim presented an overview of the rabbinic search process and the various committees (and their responsibilities) that will be formed in the upcoming months in TBE’s search for a new senior rabbi.

As part of the presentation, a brief summary of the feedback received from the second congregational survey was provided. For example, Respondents across demographics selected the following six attributes (out of 14) as most important for a Rabbi: Uniter, Pastor, Exemplar/Role Model, Service Leader, Team Player, and Educator. Above all, congregants want the rabbi’s priority to be to connect with members and build a strong community.
